Pam was born in Liverpool and trained as a doctor at Barts, qualifying in 1983. She did her House jobs in Norwich and returned to East Anglia after a spell working in London. She was appointed as Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at the West Suffolk Hospital in 1998. She was Medical Director for the East of England Ambulance Service for four years and Medical Director at the West Suffolk Hospital for two years. Pam joined Suffolk Accident Rescue Service in 2005 and as a result of this joined EAAA as a volunteer doctor. Pam’s current role is as one of the HEMS consultants, flying on shift one day a week and helping to train the next generation of doctors in pre-hospital care. Pam usually flies on Anglia 1 out of Norwich but can be found on Anglia 2 occasionally.
Pam lived in North Suffolk for many years but has sneaked over the border in recent times and now lives near Diss with her husband. They have four children and a new granddaughter. Pam did her bit fundraising for EAAA last year by cycling from London to Paris. You can follow her on Twitter @DrPamChrispin.
